Bag Filter Dust Collector
Professional Process Equipment Supplier
1. Product Overview
The bag filter dust collector is a highly efficient dust removal device that uses fabric filter bags to capture particulate matter from dust-laden exhaust gas. It is widely used for industrial dust emission control in the cement, steel, power generation, mining, chemical, wood processing, and grain industries. Gas-solid separation is achieved as the dust-laden gas passes through the filter bag surface: dust particles are retained on the outside of the bags while the cleaned gas flows out from inside. Bag filter dust collectors can achieve dust removal efficiency exceeding 99.9%, with emission concentrations controlled below 10mg/Nm³, making them one of the most widely used and technologically mature high-efficiency dust collectors in the industry. With increasingly stringent environmental regulations and rising emission standards, the bag filter has become the preferred solution for dust control across all industries due to its superior filtration performance and reliable operation.
2. Working Principle
The working principle of the bag filter dust collector involves two main processes: filtration and cleaning. Dust-laden gas enters the filter housing through the inlet; as the cross-sectional area suddenly expands, the flow velocity decreases, and large particles drop directly into the hopper by gravity. Fine dust continues upward with the gas flow and is captured on the outer surface of the filter bags, while cleaned gas passes through the bag interior into the clean gas plenum and exits through the outlet. As operating time increases, the dust layer on the bag surface thickens, causing the system pressure drop to gradually rise. When the pressure drop reaches the set point, the cleaning system activates. During pulse-jet cleaning, compressed air is instantaneously injected into the bag interior through pulse valves, causing the bag to rapidly expand and vibrate. The dust layer dislodges under the combined effect of impact and vibration forces, falling into the hopper for removal by the ash discharge system. The entire cleaning process is automatically controlled by a PLC system according to preset timing sequences, cleaning chambers in rotation to ensure continuous, stable operation.
