Solid Preparation

Pharmaceutical Mixer
Model: MXR Series
1. Product Overview
The pharmaceutical mixer is indispensable in solid dosage production, where it uniformly blends powders, granules, and excipients so that every component is evenly distributed in the finished product. Combining different agitation and tumbling actions, it keeps material contacting and dispersing in three dimensions for highly efficient blending. Because blend uniformity directly governs tablet content uniformity and capsule fill-weight variation, mixer performance is critical to the pharmaceutical process. These machines are widely used for powder and granule blending in the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and cosmetics industries.
Key Features
- High mixing uniformity, CV≤3%, ensuring content uniformity
- Multiple mixing types available: V-type, 3D, ribbon, trough
- Fully enclosed structure, preventing cross-contamination and dust emission
- GMP compliant, CIP/SIP optional
- Variable frequency speed control, adaptable to different material characteristics
- Optional vacuum feeding for closed transfer
2. Working Principle
V-type Mixing
V-type Mixer: Uses an asymmetric V-shaped vessel; with each revolution the material is split and recombined twice, delivering high mixing efficiency. Suited to free-flowing powders, with a fill ratio of 30%–50%.
3D Motion Mixing
3D Mixer: The vessel performs complex translational, rotational, and rocking motions in three-dimensional space, so material flows and spreads in every direction with no dead zones. Uniformity surpasses that of V-type mixers, making it the choice for materials with large density differences or poor flowability. Fill ratio up to 60%–80%.
Ribbon Mixing
Ribbon Mixer: Counter-rotating inner and outer ribbons generate simultaneous axial and radial convection — the inner ribbon moves material one way while the outer ribbon moves it the other way, creating forced convection. Suited to cohesive powders, pastes, and blends with added liquids.
Trough Mixing
Trough Mixer: Paddle blades rotate in a U-shaped trough, tumbling the material into a uniform blend. Simple and easy to operate, it suits small-batch, multi-product work and can be fitted with an agitator and chopper for combined mixing and granulation.
