Vacuum Mixer
1. Product Overview
1.1 General Description
The vacuum mixer is a dedicated machine for mixing materials under vacuum, widely used in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries wherever strict requirements are placed on the mixing environment. Inside a sealed vessel the agitator blades blend the material while the vacuum system extracts air from the vessel, preventing oxidation, moisture absorption and the entrapment of bubbles. The vacuum mixer is particularly suitable for oxidation-prone materials, bubble-containing products and GMP environments that require dead-leg-free cleaning. The agitation system can be configured with anchor, paddle or helical-ribbon impellers to match the material viscosity, and the jacket accepts heating or cooling media for temperature control. The complete machine is designed to meet GMP and FDA requirements, and all product-contact parts can be cleaned and sterilized in place.

2. Working Principle
2.1 Vacuum Mixer Process Flow
Vacuum mixer process flow: charging → sealing → evacuation → mixing → temperature control → vacuum degassing → vacuum break → discharge → CIP cleaning. After charging, the vessel door is closed and the vacuum system extracts the air down to the set vacuum level (below -0.095MPa). Once the agitation system starts, the impeller blends the material under vacuum; with no air resistance, mixing is more uniform. The temperature control system holds the material at the set temperature via the jacket. After mixing is complete, vacuum is maintained for degassing, with the degassing time set according to the material characteristics. Finally the vacuum is slowly broken to atmospheric pressure and the discharge valve is opened.
