Coarse Crusher
1. Product Overview
1.1 General Description
The coarse crusher is a pre-crushing machine that reduces large lumps of material to smaller sizes (5-50 mm) and is the first step in a crushing production line. It breaks material by compression between the moving and fixed jaw plates and is suitable for materials with a compressive strength of up to 250 MPa. The coarse crusher features a large feed opening, a large crushing ratio, a robust structure and high throughput, providing a suitable feed size for the downstream secondary and fine crushing equipment. It is widely used for coarse crushing in the mining, building material, chemical and metallurgical industries.
1.2 Key Features
- Large feed opening handles large lumps of material
- Large crushing ratio (4-6)
- Robust structure and high throughput
- Adjustable discharge opening controls the output size
- Simple maintenance and low operating cost
- Handles high-hardness materials
- Multiple models for different capacity requirements
- Optional hydraulic adjustment of the discharge opening
1.3 Document Scope
This technical specification covers the design principles, performance parameters, system classification, selection of core components, application fields, design standards and certifications, custom optional configurations, warranty terms, packaging and delivery, and the information required for inquiries of the coarse crusher, serving as a comprehensive reference for procurement selection and engineering communication.
2. Working Principle
2.1 Coarse Crusher Process Flow
Coarse crusher process flow: large lumps enter the crushing chamber → the moving jaw approaches the fixed jaw and compresses → material is crushed → the moving jaw retracts → crushed material falls → compressed again → qualified material is discharged from the outlet. Driven by the eccentric shaft and the toggle plate, the moving jaw swings periodically: when it approaches the fixed jaw, material is crushed by compression; when it moves away, crushed material falls by gravity and is discharged. The discharge opening size is adjusted with shims or hydraulic cylinders to control the output size.
