Glass-lined Tank
Storage Tanks

1. Product Overview
The glass-lined storage tank is a storage vessel with a carbon steel body lined with a dense glass enamel (glass lining) coating on the inner surface. It consists of the tank body, heads, manhole, nozzles, supports and optional accessories (agitator, level gauge, thermometer, etc.), utilizing the excellent corrosion resistance of the glass lining to achieve safe storage of strongly acidic and alkaline corrosive materials.
Widely applicable to: chemical raw material storage, pharmaceutical intermediate storage, pesticide formulation storage, dye and coating industry raw material storage, fine chemical liquid storage, etc.
Equipment features: excellent resistance to strong acids and alkalis, smooth non-stick surface, wide temperature range (-5°C~200°C), lower cost compared to stainless steel, not suitable for thermal shock conditions.
2. Working Principle
Materials enter the tank body through the feed nozzle and are stored statically utilizing the tank volume. The glass lining serves as an isolation layer, completely separating the carbon steel body from corrosive materials to prevent base metal corrosion. For glass-lined storage tanks with agitators, the agitation system keeps stored materials uniform, preventing suspended solids from settling or layering. Level gauges display real-time liquid levels, and temperature sensors monitor material temperature. Insulation layers can be added externally when temperature retention is required.
