Vacuum Dryer
Drying Equipment

1. Product Overview
The vacuum dryer removes moisture at low temperature under negative pressure: evacuating the chamber lowers the boiling point of water. Each unit consists of the main drying chamber, a vacuum system, a condensation and solvent-recovery system, a heating system and a control cabinet. It is widely used for heat-sensitive, oxidation-prone and flammable or explosive materials, as well as processes that require solvent recovery. Key features: low-temperature drying that preserves material activity, a sealed environment that prevents oxidation, a high solvent-recovery rate and high thermal efficiency.
2. Working Principle
Wet material is charged into the dryer and the vacuum system evacuates the chamber; the heating system supplies a heating medium (steam, hot water or thermal oil) to the drying trays, jacket or internal heating coils; under vacuum and heating, the moisture or solvent within the material vaporizes rapidly at low temperature; the vapor is drawn off by the vacuum pump and condensed to liquid in the condenser for recovery, while non-condensable gases are vented.
3. System Classification
By operation and construction:
Static vacuum dryer: material rests on heated trays without mechanical agitation — suited to powders, granules and high-purity materials
Dynamic vacuum dryer: fitted with an agitator or rotating shell to keep the material turning over — suited to pastes, viscous and caking materials
Continuous vacuum dryer: continuous feeding and discharge under vacuum — for large-scale, high-throughput production lines
