1. Product Overview
The spray dryer atomizes a liquid feed into fine droplets that meet hot air and lose their moisture within seconds, yielding a finished powder or granular product directly. The system comprises a feed system, atomization system, hot-air system, drying tower, powder collection system and control accessories. Typical applications include dairy products, plant extracts, ceramic powders, dyes and catalysts. Key characteristics: very fast drying, excellent powder flowability, instant evaporation that preserves heat-sensitive ingredients, and fully continuous production.
2. Working Principle
The feed is atomized into extremely fine droplets by a high-pressure pump or centrifugal atomizer. Air is heated and enters the top of the drying tower; the droplets contact the hot air in co-current flow and the moisture evaporates within seconds. The dried powder is collected by a cyclone separator or bag filter, and the exhaust gas is vented by the fan.
